100 Days in Office: Monarchs in Ibarapa North LG Praise Hon. Akorede for Enhancing Security, Rural Electrification
Monarchs in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of Hon. Lateef Akorede, the council chairman, in sustaining the local government’s security architecture.
Their commendations came as Akorede marked his first hundred days in office, during which he has prioritised the safety and well-being of the community.
In a joint statement, the traditional rulers highlighted Akorede’s proactive measures in addressing security concerns that have affected the area.
They acknowledged his collaboration with local security agencies and community vigilante groups, which has led to a noticeable decrease in crime rates.
“Hon. Akorede’s commitment to ensuring a safe environment for our people is commendable.”
“His leadership has fostered a sense of security that allows our communities to thrive,”stated one of the monarchs.
In addition to his focus on security, Akorede has also initiated significant infrastructural projects to enhance the quality of life in the region.
Notably, he has funded the erection of electric poles from Idere to Igangan as part of a rural electrification scheme.
This project aims to provide reliable electricity to underserved communities, improving access to light and modern amenities.
In addition, Hon Akorede has directed Head of Local Government and Supervisor for Works to repair art moving equipment and tractors with immediate effect to enable the council to embark on grading of all dilapidated rural roads farm access roads in all communities as quickly as possible.
During the celebration of his achievements, Akorede emphasised the importance of infrastructure in driving development.
“Electricity is a catalyst for growth. It empowers our people and opens up numerous opportunities for businesses and education,” he stated.
The monarchs and community leaders unanimously expressed their support for Akorede’s initiatives, urging him to continue his efforts in both security and infrastructure development.
