The Oyo State government has promised to rehabilitate 3 Primary Health Centres in each of the 33 local government areas of the State within the next six months.
The Chairman, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board, Hon. Dada Awoleye made this promise today while fielding questions from Aanuoluwapo Omorinde on BOTTOM LINE, a political programme on IBR 92.5fm Ibadan monitored by our Correspondent.

Awoleye however hinted that Governor Seyi Makinde has for a start, approved the rehabilitation of about 100 PHCs across the State within the next six months.
According to him, “what we inherited is not good at all and the situation is not peculiar to Oyo State, it is a national problem. Governor Seyi Makinde is committed to this course. We have the fund and the plan is to refurbish 3 Primary Health Centres in each of the 33 local government areas of the State. This will change the narrative as more people will have access to Primary Health Care”.
The former Lawmaker decried the over-concentration on secondary Health Institutions but promised that the administration of Engineer Seyi Makinde will correct this anomaly.
Awoleye expressed the commitment of the Seyi Makinde’s administration to this course adding that the people should hold the government accountable as it will not renege on its promise.
