The Director-general, Oyo State Gaming Board, Hon Olajide Boladuro has commended Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for his unquenchable love and commitment for sports development.
Boladuro stated this on Sunday in a statement signed by him and made available to newsmen in Ibadan following the triumphant promotion of Shooting Stars Sport Club of Ibadan (3SC) to the Nigeria Professional Football League after the Oluyole Warriors had alienated Ekiti United 6-0 on Saturday evening at the ongoing Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs in Enugu.
According to him, he congratulated the players, management and staff of 3SC for romping into the final of the playoffs.
Boladuro was also full of plaudits for Governor Seyi Makinde declaring that sports has never had it so good in Oyo State. His words:
“Let me start by congratulating our sports loving Governor Seyi Makinde for what Oyo State is doing now in sports.
“The progress Oyo is making in sports today is as a result of having a governor who understands the sector. I want to urge the management of our darling club to ensure that they sustain their status in the league next season and also strive to secure a continental ticket for the Governor and the good people of Oyo State.” Boladuro concluded.
