Makinde’s Aide Oyewunmi Lauds 3SC Management, Players

Special Assistant (Sports) to Oyo State governor Engineer Seyi Makinde, Honourable Oyewunmi Oluwatobi has commended the management, technical crew and players of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) for their level of commitment since the resumption of training.

Oyewunmi, who paid an unscheduled visit to the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIIN) training ground of the Oluyole Warriors on Wednesday, also reiterated the commitment of the governor to the success of the club.

Speaking with Shooting Stars Media, after watching Wednesday’s training session, the governor’s aide expressed satisfaction with the positive response of the players to training.

“I must confess, I am very happy with what I saw today. I can see in the boys the commitment and the determination to succeed, which is the ultimate goal of everybody that has to do with Shooting Stars.

“My fear was that the long break, ocassioned by the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic will take its toll on the players but I can say with all confidence that the boys are fully fit and ready for business, based on what I saw here today.”

While praising the players, Oyewunmi saluted the Rasheed Balogun led management for taking care of the players and officials just as he eulogised the Edith Agoye led technical crew for ensuring that the boys did not lose steam, despite the long break.

He reiterated the commitment of governor Makinde to the success of the Oluyole Warriors.

“His excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde is bent on restoring the lost glory of Shooting Stars, that is why every time, he talks about the club.

“He is ready to do everything humanly possible to change the fortune of this great club and this he has never hidden going by his commitment to the course of the team.

 

“We must therefore do our best in ensuring that the dream of His excellency come to pass by securing promotion to the elite league at the end of this season,”,said Oyewunmi who also praised the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Asiwaju Seun Fakorede for his commitment to the course of the Ibadan soccer lords.
