The Oyo state government has approved the immediate completion of the dualization project of Bashorun-Idi-Ape-Akobo to Odogbo Barracks road at the sum of #3.2 billion.

The state government also approved #231 million as compensation fees for owners of properties affected by the road project.

The state commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun, disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing the state house correspondents on the outcome of the 30th executive council meeting.

According to the commissioner the project will be executed through the Alternative Project Funding Approach and will be completed within 8 months.

Also speaking, the commissioner for establishment and training, professor Dahud Sangodoyin, said the state government has adopted the WHO recommendation on exclusive breast feeding and thereby approved an upward review of maternity leave for pregnant women and nursing mother in the service of the Oyo state government from four months to six months.
