    OYO APC NOW UNITED, STRONG AND FORMIDABLE, SET FOR VICTORY IN 2023

    The All Progressive Party in Oyo State is now a strong and formidable family set to ensure total victory in the 2023 general elections.

    There were early indications of such expectations as the Party members gathered since early hours of Monday 1st February 2021 eagerly awaiting the arrival of the several stakeholders who arrived in large turnout one after the other with fanfare, amidst jubilation and celebrations.

    At the well attended Strategic Stakeholders meeting towards the implementation of the much awaited Revalidation and Registration of members of the All Progressive Party across the Nation, the Stakeholders were unanimous in their resolution and determination to further integrate and strengthen the Party.

    While addressing the Party members and the media during the meeting which was open at the newly completed Party Secretariat along Awolowo Road Oke Ado Ibadan, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala the Leader of the Party in Oyo State and Chief Akin Oke as well as other Speakers agreed to abolish all factional groups coalescing into one united and formidable Progressive family thus putting a close to the lingering rivalry and disunity that caused the loss of power by the Party in the 2019 elections.

    Among several of the Stakeholders present at the meeting were notable strong Party Stalwarts and politicians with
    Chief Akin Oke (State Chairman) Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala a former Governor and leader of the Party’s Elders Advisory Committee working closely with the Caretaker Committee were Otunba Adeyemo Alake, and Chief Iyiola Oladokun both former Deputy Governors in Oyo State, Prof Taoheed Adedoja a former Minister of Sports and Special Duties,
    Mr Sunday Dare, current Minister of Sports and Youth Development,
    Senator Teslim Folarin former Senate Leader and current Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial district
    Senator Ayo Adeseun,
    Senator Femi Lanleyin, Senator Fatai Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial district, Hon Mojeed Olaoya, former member Oyo State House of Assembly and current Secretary of the Party’s Caretaker Committee in Oyo State who coordinated the event, Prof Adeolu Akande NCC Chairman,
    Chief Adebayo Shittu a former Minister of Communication, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Dr Isiaka Kolawole,
    Prince Adekanye, Alhaji Arikewuyo, Hon, Pa Adeyemo State Vice Chairman, Elder Gbade Sanda, Alhaji Lamolo, Mrs Mabel Williams State Women Leader, Pa Ajisafe, Rt Hon Segun Odebunmi (Bunvic), Chief Wale Ohu, Chief Lowo Obisesan, Hon Jide Adewale, Eng Dipo Fawole, Ajibola Aareokuta, Bolaji Afeez Repete National Deputy Youth Leader, Hon Adigun Murphy, Hon Akeem Olatunji Akogun, Demola Solalu, Ige Taiwo, Kehinde Olaosebikan, Oloye Sina Alabi, Hon Sakiru Fajinmi, Hon, Segun Ajanaku, Hon Alli the trio all former members of Oyo State House of Assembly Hon, Bimbo Kolade,

    Chief Bayo Adelabu, Dr, Sola Ayandele the APC Governorship candidate and aspirant respectively during the 2019 election,
    Hon Tolu Akande Sadipe, Alhaji Jelili Agboola a former Commissioner, Hon Wasiu (Asusu), Mrs Olawunmi Ogunesan former Head of Service,
    Hon Bimbo Adekanmbi and Chief Zacheues Adelabu both former Commissioners of Finance during the last administration, Hon Hakeem Adeyemi (Skimme), Hon Olaide Akinrrmi, Hon Saheed Fijabi, Rt. Hon Asimiyu Alarape former Speaker and current member of Oyo State House of Assembly along with several former members of both Federal and State legislative houses.

    Mr Olalekan Alli former Secretary to State Government, Prince Abbas Aleshinloye APC ALGON Chairman, Several former Commissioners, Special Advisers and Assistants and political office holders were in attendance alongside several Local Government Party Caretaker Committee Chairmen were also in attendance.

    The atmosphere at the event was quite a demonstration of true reunion of reconciled fellows movers and shakers in the Progressive Family within Oyo State Political landscape who are now determined to reposition party towards a successful outing in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

    The Party will henceforth promote transparency and fairness while sustaining democratic principles and arrangements in the selection of party flag bearers at subsequent elections. Commitment and loyalty to the party will also be observed among party faithfuls will also be rewarded among highlights of the discussions by the Stakeholders.

    Three critical and important Committees including Finance, Technical and Media/Publicity were announced with members carefully selected across the State towards the successful implementation of the Party membership Revalidation and Registration exercise.
