This IBADAN FACTOR has been a recurring factor in Oyo state politics and it is indeed a fact to be reckoned with.
Ibadan is undoubtedly the largest city in the West Africa, the former capital of the old Western region of Nigeria and a big city that makes hosts the capital of the present Oyo state.
Ibadan is not just a city with land but with her own huge population of indigenous people but a host to other people. The hospitality and accomodating spirits keep the city expanding.
The above position of Ibadan is a source of the highest number of electorates as well as a huge and deciding votes in any gubernatorial election.
This status of Ibadan is a subject of consideration for any party to pick the GUBER CANDIDATE as population is very critical in any democratic experiment.
The political elites plan their political future and fortune with and around Ibadan .
Those from outside Ibadan, however good, has pegged their political heights at deputy governor.
The Ibadan political elites have used this Ibadan status for political advantage and too much for granted.
We have noticed with shock that the major beneficiaries of IBADAN FACTOR have being the elites in BÓDÌJÀ, BASHORUN, RINGROAD , ONIREKE, OLUYOLE and those connected to this category of people.
They are the people who can boast of very good roads, they still have steady water supply, they have neat public schools while their kids attend private schools with the support of the largesse they derived from the state.
They are the benefiaries of the state housing projects from the Western regional project till date.
This has being the situation till date except during Chief Bola Ige who gave public education prominent attention and mention.
After Chief Bola , the most important benefit of the masses which is public Education has suffered so much in Ibadan same way it suffered in other towns.
The question that keeps coming to mind is WHO IS BENEFITING FROM IBADAN FACTOR?.
Certainly not the Ibadan masses.
We need to sit down and passionately reassess the unwritten IBADAN FACTOR that produced handful of ELITIST BENEFICIARIES leaving the masses of Ibadan at the interior to languish for lacking in social infrastructures like water and roads just like other towns in OYO STATE.
We have good people at every part of the state and we need the best of us to lead all of us . The IBADAN FACTOR should therefore not deny all of us what will be beneficial to all of us as against few of us.
We have recently discovered a politician with difference, large heart, generous and compassionate.
He has expressed this severally in empowerments , project facilitations, outreaches and reach out in his constituencies and across bridges.

He has demonstrated these traits consistently for almost 8 years, meaning, he was never pretending.
He is undoubtedly a carrier of good nature and that is SENATOR FATAI OMOTAYO BUHARI.
The impact, input and stride shows he has the skills, mastery, the heart and the readiness to take this PACE SETTING STATE out of wood and make it a state where benefits will spread round.
It will interest you to know that most politicians we have come across reached almost a consensus on SENATOR FATAI BUHARI as a very good reference of *fine and Omoluabi politician.
I know the reception, hospitality and accommodation of Ibadan is extendable to political arena. We are good to play the big brother role.
I want to charge IBADAN POLITICAL ELITES not to use IBADAN FACTOR to deny this state of BEST OF LEADERSHIP that can evolve from any part of the state.
