The Seyi Movement for Good Governance has congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Taofeek Arapaja and all other officers elected to pilot the affairs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded Southwest Zonal Congress held in Oshogbo, Osun state.
In a press release signed by the spokesperson for the group, Engineer Adeniyi Adeyemi and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday, the group expressed optimism that Taofeek Arapaja, having been trusted and proven worthy at different capacities will justify the confidence reposed on him and others by the leaders of the party in the zone by working to unite aggrieved party members and strengthen the party ahead of the gubernatorial elections coming up in Ekiti and Osun States respectively.
The group pledged their support to the elected National Vice-Chairman, maintaining that with his victory, coupled with Governor Seyi Makinde’s sterling performance, Southwest stands its brightest chance ever to influence the country’s leadership at the centre come 2023.
