Fear Grips Oyo APC Leaders As Party’s National Reconciliation Committee Receives Complaint From Factional Groups
A clear conscience they say, it fears no allegations. This is quite different from what is playing out from camp of All Progressives Congress in Oyo State. The internal crisis rocking the leading opposition party in the pace setter state is far from over.
You would recall the internal squabble led to the decimation of the party in the last gubernatorial election in the state due to the perceived autocratic, and dictatorial tendencies exhibited by the party leadership in the state.
Following its inauguration on Tuesday 11th February, 2020. The National Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress has invited memoranda from aggrieved APC members from any of the thirty-six (36) states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The Reconciliation Committee ordered party members to state the particulars of the grievance or complaint, the state or state concerned and remedy being sought.
The Committee stated that the memoranda must be in 12 copies, typewritten and straight to the point. Its added that the the complaint must be submitted at the committee’s secretariat located at No. 24, Panama Street, Maitama, Abuja.
The committee has however received complaint from different factions in the Oyo APC such as Aspirant Forum, Unity Forum, Oyo APC Reformer, among others.
A member of the party who spoke on the condition of anonymity authoritatively told GOALPOACHER NEWS that the main content in the complaint submitted is for the party to follow the part of the constitution of the party.
It is however left to be seen if the members that dumped the party to the PDP, ADC and ZLP would return to the fold of the APC before the next general election.
