Tobi Oyewumi Congratulates Gov Makinde as 3SC Returns to NPFL
The Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Sports Development, Tobi Oyewumi has commended the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, players, management and staff of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) for picking one of the tickets to play in the elite division of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Governor’s aide gave this commendation on Saturday, September 11, after the Oluyole Warriors whitewashed Ekiti United 6-0 at the ongoing Super 8 of the Nigeria National League playoff matches to determine teams that will ply their trades in the top division next season.
Tobi urged the Oluyole Warriors to do well in the NPFL next season by sustaining their status in the league and to keep the winning momentum.
He added that 3SC is a club that is popular not only in the continent of Africa but internationally. He therefore urged the team and its management to aim higher for continental glory next season as the state government will provide needed support for the club to achieve the feat.
Goals from Chinedu Enuademu , Gafar Olafimihan who scored a brace, Najeem Olukokun, Anthony Okachi and Omololu Waheed ensured 3SC’s emphatic victory. His words:
“I commend His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for this remarkable success. He has demonstrated his passion for sports development with various legacy projects he has embarked upon like the remodelled Lekan Salami Stadium at Adamasingba and other mini stadia in all the geo- political zones in Oyo state.”
