As millions of Islamic faithfuls in the country and Oyo State joined their counterparts from around the globe to celebrate this year’s Eid-el- Maulud, the birth of Prophet Muhammed (SAW).
A religious leader, Elder Adekola Ayoade has charged Muslim Ummah in Oyo State on the need to ensure peaceful coexistence, religious harmony, as well as embrace peace, forgiveness, love and sacrifice.
Elder Adekola who is the Chairman of Omitutun Mega Praise, gave the admonition in a short statement on Wednesday to congratulate the Muslim Community in the Pacesetter State, urged them to pray particularly for a peaceful and united Oyo State and the success of the administration of Governor Seyi in his resolve to actualize the Oyo of ‘our dreams.’
Adekola who is a detribalized leader, further urged Oyo residents to use the celebration for sober reflection and pray for tolerance and peaceful co-existence.
