    OYRTMA Reads Riot Act To Officers

    The General Manager of Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority, OYRTMA, Adeoye Ayoade has warned that any officer caught in any form of bribery, inducement and corruption on duty on the highway in any part of the State would be dealt with decisively.

    Adeoye, gave the warning during a meeting with the agency’s Adhoc Staff and Mayors at the operational headquarters, Secretariat, Ibadan.


    The General Manager informed the officers that he had received quite a number of complaints from members of the public about their unprofessional attitude.

    He said: “I want to seize this opportunity to warn all our adhoc and Mayors that are deployed to major roads to shun all forms of corruption and unethical conducts .

    “As public servants of the people, you must accord maximum respect to the fundamental rights of motorists, commutters and the citizens at all times.

    “We should be reminded that all our operational activities must be within the armbit of the established law.

    The General Manager warned that the core mandate of OYRTMA is traffic control, transportation management and regulation of traffic related matters within Oyo metropolis.

    He however warned that any officer caught indulging in other illicit act will be dealt with and subsequently be dismissed.
