    Renewable Energy: Seyi Makinde’s Transformation In The Health Sector On Course By Oyo Amebo

    Governor Seyi Makinde’s dedicated vision and the diligent service of Honorable Seun Ashamu, Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, are fostering a significant transformation in Oyo State not only through the Light-UP Project also Renewable Energy.

    This initiative is revolutionizing healthcare in the state, with a comprehensive renovation and remodeling of over 200 primary health centers (PHCs), greatly enhancing the well-being of residents.

    Furthermore, the Light Up Project which incorporates renewable energy solutions, including the installation of solar panels, to ensure a sustainable and eco-friendly power source for these healthcare facilities.

    Oyo State is emerging as a beacon of growth in the power sector, setting an example for other states.

    Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to development, sustainability, and innovation is evident.

    The “Light-UP Project” extends beyond being a power initiative; it serves as a testament to the state’s resolute dedication to fostering progress and renewable energy adoption.

    At the forefront of this promising change, Honorable Seun Ashamu supervises the 11 MW Hybrid Power Plant project in Ibadan, approaching its completion.

    This endeavor promises brighter days for Oyo State with a sustainable power source.

    The primary aim of this initiative is to supply electricity to various government facilities, starting with the Oyo State Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, and its surroundings. When this transformative project comes to fruition, it will empower:

    “Primary Healthcare Centers”

    The power generated will power  some public health Institutions around the State Secretariat where the IPP is situated.

    The state’s administration has invested significantly in equipping these healthcare centers with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment.

    This development profoundly impacts the well-being of residents, making healthcare more accessible and efficient.

    This transformative project underscores Governor Seyi Makinde’s enduring vision for Oyo State and his administration’s steadfast dedication to fostering development and sustainability. The “Light-UP Project” transcends mere illumination; it illuminates the path to a brighter, sustainable, and healthier future for Oyo State residents.

    It represents a step toward a future where healthcare is a priority, with PHCs empowered and equipped to serve the people efficiently. It showcases what can be achieved with a resolute commitment to progress, innovation, and renewable energy.
