NIPSS Leadership Training: Oyo East LG Boss, AROSAD, Bags Certificate, Commends Gov. Makinde’s Support
The Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Kosobo, Oyo, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, has bagged a Strategic Leadership, Ethics and Policy-Making certificate from the National Institute For Policy and Strategic Studies.
This followed a month of rigorous training at Kuru in Plateau State, Nigeria.
The event had in attendance the Executive chairmen of the Oyo State Chapters of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON).
An Act to establish the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies serves as a center where representatives from all walks of Nigerian national life could come together by way of workshops, seminars, and other action-orientated courses, studies, and conferences to analyze and exchange views as to long-term national goals.
The Institute is empowered- to conduct courses for top-level policymakers and executors drawn from different sectors of the national polity to expand and perspective and stretch their conceptual capacity and qualities of discernment and analysis thereby helping to improve their overall performance in their different fields of action.
NIPSS also can award certificates of attendance to those who participate sufficiently and satisfactorily in any of its courses, conduct seminars, workshops, and other action-oriented programs whether on a continuing or ad hoc basis for leaders in the public services (including the armed forces and other disciplined forces), the private sector, political organizations, professional and other groups to promote and defining, and enhancing appreciation for, long-recreational plans and objectives, to identify, encourage, stimulate, assemble, organize and help deploy to the best national advantage the country’s intellectual talents.
Speaking shortly after he was conferred with the 7th NIPS training certification, Hon Arowosaye Saheed commended the governor for the rare privilege given to him and his colleagues to improve their overall performance in their different fields of action.
He added that the knowledge they have garnered during the course will prepare them for future leadership tasks in intellectual support in making and implementing policy for grassroots governance and beyond.
He said: “I am pleased to have completed the 7th Strategic Leadership, Ethics, and Policymaking course, at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru in Plateau State.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to our dear leader, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde, for sponsoring me and my colleagues and for making this valuable learning experience possible.”
