Has Gov Seyi Makinde Dumped Wike? See The Letter Written By Oyo Gov to PDP BOT Chairman
Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has written to the Chairman Board of Trustee of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Adolphus Wabara to re-instate the erstwhile National Secretary of the party Samuel Anyanwu in the spirit of readiness and preparations towards towards the 2027 general elections.
It will be recalled that Makinde, Wike, and three other PDP Governor’s pulled their support for the then presidential candidate of the APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu against the interest of the presidential flag bearer of the PDP Atiku Abubakar.
Currently, little or nothing is known or heard of the then vibrant G-5 Governors led by former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike who is a major beneficiary of the effort of the G-5 Governors at ensuring victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2023 polls except for the recent outburst of Samuel Ortom, the immediate past governor of Benue state who seem left out in the scheme of things in the Tinubu presidency.
Apart from this letter, Engr. Seyi Makinde played host to his Osun state counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, an indication that the once frosty relationship between the duo has become history and also his visibility within the activities of the PDP in recent times seem a clear indication that he has retraced his steps back to the PDP.
Investigations conducted by GoalPoacher News with party gladiators in Abuja revealed that Governor Seyi Makinde and his friend Nyesom Wike may appear not to be in good terms over the affairs of the party.
According to multiple sources, the FCT Minister was reportedly sponsoring Ske Ude Okoye from Enugu State as replacement for Samuel Ayanwu while Governor Seyi Makinde has pitched his tent with Samuel Ayanwu from Imo State.
