    JBC Awards Scholarships to Ibadan Indigenes Studying At Various Universities (Photo)

    Jericho Businessmen Club (JBC) has awarded 20 scholarships to Ibadan indigenes studying in various Higher institutions of learning in Nigeria.

    This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by its President, Oloye Remi Babalola who is also the Jagun Balogun of Ibadan land.


     

    According to him, the award ceremony came up at the January Ordinary General Meeting of the Club held at Lagos Chambers of Commerce and industry building Ikeja on Saturday.

    Oloye Remi Babalola emphasized the importance of empowering financially challenged students to pursue their academic careers without any form of hindrance. He said:

    “20 scholars went home with a cheque of N100k (one hundred thousand naira) each.

    “The beneficiaries were selected among various applications received based on their outstanding academic performance and poor family background.

    “The scholarship would run throughout their academic years in the university. ”

    The President, Oloye Remi Babalola admonished the recipients to be of good behaviour and maintain the high grades that qualified them for the scholarship.
