Oyelade reviews new roles for Information Officers
The operational style of information officers throughout the state is undergoing review.
This was disclosed at a one-day engagement with the 55 information officers at the ministry of information.
Addressing the officers, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, said that the orientation is very vital in order to maximise the exposure of government activities to the populace.
Appreciating the commissioner for his leadership style since joining the ministry, the Information Officers expressed their readiness towards advancing professional standards in their career.
The information officers also reassured the commissioner to work as a team to realise government’s intention and also implored government to immediate fund the modernization of some of the ministry’s facilities.
In his closing remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Orientation, Dr. Taiwo Ladipo, said the loyalty of the information officers should first and foremost be to the ministry of information so that the intention of the government can be achieved.
