Bada Olubadan of Ibadan land, Barrister Olumuyiwa Makinde described Oba Lekan Balogun’s death as a huge loss to Ibadanland and Oyo state.
The legal icon who is the elder brother of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde in a condolence message on Friday stated that the late Olubadan was a great leader who recorded considerable achievements during his short but glorious reign and a skilled custodian of the tradition and culture of his people who had an eventful and epoch-making reign.
“Kabiyesi’s departure is a huge loss not only to Ibadanland but Oyo State and Nigeria as a nationalist.
“His contributions to the development and advancement of the country and Oyo state in particular are unquantifiable.”
“The Oba was a man who dedicated his life to the service of his people.
