Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday, today, describing her as a dedicated politician whose life is full of virtues and selfless service to humanity.
In a statement personally issued by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja but made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Amb. Arapaja described Senator Sunmonu as a Godfearing, committed and dedicated politician whose style of politics is about delivering good governance to the electorates.
According to the statement, “as a female politician, Senator Sunmonu has broken many records in the politics of Oyo state. These ranges from being the very first female Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, as well as being the only female senator produced in the State.
While thanking the Almighty Allah for sparing the life of the ex-Lawmaker to witness yet another birthday in good health, Ambassador Arapaja called on other women politician to emulate Senator Sunmonu, who has distinguished herself as an ideal example of principle, purpose and passion ; which other female participants in politics should emulate.
While wishing her very many glorious celebration in good health, long life and continued service to humanity, Amb. Arapaja enjoined her to keep forging ahead in her dedication to the progressive brand of politics, and to remain undaunted in her support for the good governance being enjoyed by the people of Oyo State under the Engr. Seyi Makinde led administration.
