Oyo proud to have you as daughter, Makinde felicitates Sunmonu at 65
Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has described a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, as an Amazon and a source of pride to the Pacesetter State.
The governor stated this on Tuesday, while congratulating the Senator on her 65th birthday, adding that her contributions to the development and progress of the state are innumerable.
According to Governor Makinde, not only has Senator Sunmonu proven herself to be an excellent partner in progress to his administration, she has remained a key stakeholder in all efforts to develop Oyo State for many decades.
The governor wished Sunmonu a happy birthday and many more years of service to Oyo State.
He said: “Today, I celebrate one of Oyo State’s finest in terms of service, commitment and patriotism- Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.
“She has proven to be a worthy Amazon and partner in progress in all efforts to develop and reposition the Pacesetter State.
“The Government and people of the state are proud of her and the sacrifices she has made and continues to make in the last two decades.
“I wish her a happy birthday and wish her many happy returns.”
