The Local Government Elections in Oyo state is fast approaching with candidates in several local governments in Oyo state preparing for a wonderful outing on Saturday.
However, as responsible citizens, it’s important that we support and encourage local government officials who have performed excellently well in their first term at the elections this Saturday.
Ibadan educationist and philanthropist, Amb (Dr.) Akande Kazeem Babatunde has lauded the efforts of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, the current Chairman of Ido Local Government for his efforts in developing education, commerce, peace, and security in Ido Local Government.
Speaking earlier today at a community forum, Akande who is from Ido Local Government himself and has contributed greatly to support the efforts of Hon. Adeojo noted that the development in Ido Local Government is an evidence of Hon. Adeojo’s commitment to a prosperous community.
Akande further described his efforts on education which includes supporting free JAMB and WAEC coaching initiatives, distribution of learning materials to several schools across all wards in Ido Local Government, and facilitating construction of public laboratories in schools in Ido Local Government.
Hon. Adeojo has also excelled in the area of peace building and conflict prevention. The incessant issues of communal clashes and robberies have reduced drastically under his chairmanship.
This is a major achievement as the issue of peace and security have been a major issue in Ido Local Government of many years.
Akande noted that as youths and elders of Ido Local Government plan to go out in numbers to vote, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo remains the candidate that can continue to effect positive change in Ido Local Government.
He appealed to the electorates make decisions that will elevate Ido Local Government in few years to come.
