The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode sworn-in the newly elected councillors for all the 12 words in the council area.
In his remarks during the programme, Hon. Alawode congratulates the new Councillors and charged them to work with team spirit and commence activities immediately.
Speaking further, Hon. Alawode Arole Omituntun affirmed that the new Councillors were been given the responsibilities because of grace and not because they are the most qualified. So, they are expected to work harmoniously with him as the Chairman and everyone else to advance the agenda of growth and prosperity of the good people of Ibadan South East Local Government.
Hon. Alawode, the Arole Omituntun used the medium to again appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for his tutelage politically and the opportunity given him to serve his people at the grassroot, and the good people of Ibadan South East Local Government who voted overwhelmingly to elect him as the Council Chairman for another term.
He then pledged his passionate dedication in ensuring that the confidence and faith reposed in him be maintained.
Responding on behalf of the new Councillors, the Leader of the house, Hon. Ayodeji Oladepo thanked the Chairman, PDP and the residents of Ibadan South East Local Government for their support and pledged their unwavering cooperation with the Chairman Alawode.
Oath/affirmations of office were then taken by each councillor.
Present at the occasion were the Party Chairman, Engr. Sulaimon Adesina, Party Leaders, Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Ayobami Monsurat Alaga and other management staff and many well wishers.
