Hon Sanda Inaugurates Egbeda Legislative Council As Hon Olusola Olakanmi Becomes Leader
The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, on Friday sworn-in the newly elected Councilors
While inaugurating the Legislative Council at the renovated chamber, Hon Sanda charged them on unity of purpose and the need to form synergy with the Executive arm in the course of their duty.
“Distinguished Councilors, as you begin your tenure today, I charge you to remember that the power vested in you is not for personal aggrandizement, but for the betterment of the lives of our people. Our constituents have entrusted us with their hopes and aspirations, and it is our duty to serve them with purpose and dedication.
“Let us prioritize the welfare of our people, and strive to implement policies that are masses-oriented, people-centric, and inclusive.
” Let us work together to address the pressing issues that affect our community, and create opportunities for growth and development.
“As leaders, we must be selfless, transparent, and accountable. We must be the change we want to see in our community, and set an example for others to follow.
“I urge you all to work harmoniously, share ideas, and collaborate to achieve our common goals. Let us make a positive impact in the lives of our people, and leave a lasting legacy in Egbeda Local Government.
“Congratulations once again on your swearing-in, and I wish you all the best in your new roles.”
Dignitaries at the Swear-in ceremony included, Vice-Chairman Egbeda Local Government, Hon Oladebo Ibrahim, Co-chairman Oyo Elders Council, Elder Wole Oyelese, Egbeda PDP Chairman among other dignitaries.
The new councilors are:
– Hon Olusola Olakanmi, Councilor representing ward 11, who emerged as the Leader of the Legislative House, Egbeda LG
– Hon Alaba Abdullahi, retained as the Deputy Leader
– Rafiu Ibrahim, Majority Leader
– Hon. Kolawole Oladimeji, Parliamentary Chairman
– Hon Salaudeen Sarafadeen, Retained as Chief Whip
