At the ministerial strategic technical meeting between the minister of sports development, Senator John Enoh and presidents, secretaries, and technical directors of the national sports federation held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Senator Enoh stressed the importance of proper preparations for the Games, assured that foreign training tours for athletes would commence immediately after the domestic camp.

While welcoming the boxing team at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Sports Manager Babatunde Odubola said that the management of the resort under the chairmanship of Chief Engineer Dotun Sanusi was happy to receive the officials and athletes after thier brillant performance at the All African Games.

He added that Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort would continue to provide all necessary machinery for guests and make it a complete home for sports and hospitality.

He also reassured the guest of hitchfree camping and safety of its members.
