Eid-el-Kabir: Ibarapakan doles out N10m to Muslim faithful in Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has distributed cash to Muslim faithful as well as traditional rulers, totaling N10 million in each of the five communities comprising Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency ahead of Eid-el-Kabir.
The disbursement of funds in order to cushion the effect of food inflation and put smiles on the faces of the people of the constituency commenced on Friday, June 14, 2024.
According to Hon. Adepoju, the recipients of the Eid-el-Kabir gift are community individuals who have shown selflessness and kindness, expressing confidence that the impact of the funds will extend beyond the immediate recipients and benefit many others, even those he may not be aware of.
The lawmaker stressed that Eid-ul-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s commitment, devotion, dedication and obedience to Allah, urging every believer to draw inspiration from his exemplary faith, particularly when faced with challenging decisions and circumstances.
“This is not the first time I am giving back, but it is essential to expand the scope by virtue of being your representative.
” It is a moment of economic meltdown in our country, and we all know what the price of commodities says in the market. This gesture will assist my neighbours who are Muslims to get one or two things to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.
While congratulating Muslim faithful in the two local government areas on the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir, the lawmaker urged constituents to be law-abiding during and after the celebration.
He, however, charged Muslims to use the moment of Eid-el-Kabir to seek divine blessings for the peace, growth, development and stability of Nigeria.
