A group of 35 ex-political heads of Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) and 5 ex-vice chairmen from across Oyo State gathered in Oyo town to express their support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and congratulate him on his recent electoral successes.

In a communique jointly signed by Adigun Tajudeen Adeniyi (Atuu) Chairman and Raheem Ajibola (FM) Secretary at the end of the meeting, the group praised Governor Makinde for his vision and leadership, as well as his commitment to the development of the state.

The communique emphasised the forum’s gratitude to Governor Makinde for the opportunity to serve in his administration, as well as their commitment to remain loyal and supportive of his leadership.

The group also commended the Governor on his recent electoral victories, including the election of seven former LCDAs political heads as vice chairmen in the recent Local Government elections.

Moreover, the communique expressed the forum’s strong belief in Governor Makinde’s vision for Oyo State, noting that his leadership has “redefined governance and set a new standard for his successor come 2027.”

The communiqué read: “That the forum of Ex Political Heads of 35 LCDAs and 5 vice chairmen appreciated our Principal Engr. Seyi Makinde for the privilege to serve under his administration.”

“That we commended him over return of 7 of us during the just concluded L. G election as Vice- chairmen.

“That we pledge our unalloyed support for his leadership and government of the day.”

“That we remain committed and loyal to the leadership of His Excellency, Seyi Makinde as his disciples anytime any day.”

“We congratulate the newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen across the 33 LG of Oyo State while the forum used the opportunity to advise them to work harmoniously and in consonance with the vision of great Leader Gov. Seyi Makinde.”

“We also used the occasion to appraise and commend Gov. Seyi Makinde over his infrastructural development across the seven zones of the state as he has redefined governance and set a new standard for his successor come 2027.”
