Ahead of the Saturday, November 16, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) has appointed His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, Amb. Taofeek Arapaja, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, and others as members of the PDP Ondo State National Campaign Council, as Sen. Ademola Jackson Adeleke and H.E. Dauda Lawal Dare emerge as Chairman and Co-chairmen, respectively.
The appointed individuals are saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that the PDP records victory in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election.
Accepting the offer on Monday, July 1, 2024, Hon. Adepoju expressed his gratitude to the PDP National for finding him worthy of the role, promising to work closely with the rest of the members of the committee in order to ensure victory for the PDP in the election.
He also extended his gratitude to His Excellency, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, for the opportunities, both in words and in action, he has given to everyone around him, which, according to him, has propelled them to become active participants in shaping the country and the world at large.
In his remarks, Hon. Adepoju said the PDP is a party to beat and that with the calibre of people he would be working with ahead of the state election, he is confident about the success of the Peoples Democratic Party.
