The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye has felicitated with Muslim Faithfuls Within Akinyele Local Government, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
In a statement issued this morning and made available to the general public through his Personal Assistant Mr Oladimeji Ibrahim, the Chairman noted that the Hijrah symbolizes the need to strengthen relations beyond religious inclination.
He noted that “with the commencement of another year, it is important for Muslims in Akinyele local government, Oyo State and Nigeria at large to live in harmony with other religions in the country as there is always progress in unity and religious tolerance.”
Hijrah symbolizes Prophet Muhammad’s ( S.A.W) migration from Mecca to Medina in AD 622, marking the consolidation of the first Muslim community.
Hon Akinwole prayed for all Muslim community to witness more of this celebration in good health.
