In a somber display of solidarity, Otunba Seye Famojuro, a close ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, on Thursday received the body of late House of Representatives Member from the state, late Hon. Olaide Adewale Akinremi, on behalf of the Governor and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP).
The tragic news of Akinremi’s passing, at the age of 51, has shaken the political landscape of Oyo, with many leaders and constituents alike joining in to mourn the loss of this beloved figure.
Akinremi, also known as Jagaban, was a member, representing Oyo North Federal Constituency and will be missed by his constituents and colleagues alike.
His untimely passing came as a shock to his colleagues and constituents, many of whom gathered at the airport to honour his memory and offer their condolences to the family.
Otunba Seye Famojuro alongside local governments Chairmen from Ibadan received the corpse as soon as the remains arrived in Ibadan.
Some of the local government chairmen on the entourage of the Governor’s ally who had earlier waited at Ibadan Airport to receive the remains are, Hon Akeem Olatunji, Hon Seun Ojo, Hon Wole Akinleye, Hon Seun Olufade, Hon Kehinde Akande, Hon Kamorudeen Mudashiru.
Others include,Hon Kazeem Adeyinka Bibire, Hon Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE, Hon Olajide Royal Umbrella, Comrade Adedamola Adebayo Fryo among others.
