Makinde Approves Hazard Allowance to OYRTMA Officers, Warns Them Against Unethical Practices
The Oyo State Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the implementation of Hazard allowance for men and officers of the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), as he implored 500 newly recruited officers not to enrich their pockets or act unjustly but serve the state diligently.
The Governor gave the approval during the passing out Parade of the newly recruited officers and Inauguration of OYRTMA Marshalls at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iseyin.
Delivering his address, Makinde maintained that his administration will continue to build the capacity of the state agencies that are saddled with the responsibility of maintaining the rule of law, saying that his administration would forever
be remembered for building formidable institutions.
The moment the Governor announced that the hazard allowance of the men and officers of the agency would be implemented by the first of August, the atmosphere erupted in a jubilant noise.
Earlier in his address, the Executive Chairman, OYRTMA, Major Adekoya Adesagba RTD who appreciated the unwavering support of Governor Makinde, said the recruitment process of the 500 newly recruited officers and men comprised
the existing ad hoc staff was executed across the state with a deliberate care.
He added that the traffic officers are physically and mentally prepared to enforce traffic rules and regulations, committed to serving the people of oyo state and upholding the high standards of the agency.
The event also witnessed the launch and decoration of some personalities as the pioneer Marshals of OYRTMA.
Before leaving Iseyin town, governor Seyi Makinde took an inspection tour of the faculty building of the college of Agriculture and Renewable Natural resources, Ladoke Akintola University, Iseyin Campus, which is under construction.
The governor used the opportunity to have a brief engagement with some elated students at the campus.
