Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Immigration Service Oyo State Command today.

The chairman and his entourage were warmly received by the Comptroller of the Oyo State Command, Comptroller AD Jimoh PCCT, alongside Deputy Comptroller DCI Wale Hamzat and other officers.

During the reception, Comptroller AD Jimoh PCCT expressed his delight, stating that the day marked one of his most memorable moments.

He commended Hon. Olufade for his humility, recounting how the chairman prostrated upon their first meeting and repeated the gesture during this visit, a rare characteristic among politicians.

Comptroller Jimoh also requested the council chairman’s support in creating a conducive environment for immigration officers, business owners, and residents within the local government.

The comptroller emphasized the importance of officers staying informed about marriages involving foreigners at the local government marriage registry.

He thanked Hon. Olufade and his team for the visit, believing it would strengthen the relationship between the local government and the immigration service.

In his address, Hon. Olufade, who happens to be the landlord of the Oyo State Immigration Command, expressed his pleasure at visiting the command and appreciated Comptroller Jimoh and all the officers for their dedication.

He highlighted the visit’s purpose of fostering a smooth relationship with the immigration service and discussing ways to improve the environment for residents, officers, applicants, and business owners.

Hon. Olufade emphasized the importance of collaboration and urged the comptroller to verify the authenticity of Ibadan North Local Government identification certificates to prevent forgeries.

The chairman assured Comptroller Jimoh that the ongoing construction of a car park in front of the council would alleviate parking and road trading issues, facilitating smoother business operations.

He pledged to meet the comptroller’s demands and maintain a continuous, positive relationship.

The comptroller then presented a plaque to the chairman as a show of appreciation for the visit.

Hon. Olufade was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hamdy Mustapha; Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Akeem Olatunji; Director of Administration and General Services, Alhaji Alabi Lukman Kolawole; Director of Finance, Mrs. Babarimisa; Information Officer, Mrs. Lala Olufunmike; Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Ayo Elemo; Head of Media to the Chairman, Aderibigbe Yisahu; Mr. Ayo Alayande, Mr. Lateef, and Media Team Member, Ayodamope Afolabi.
