Dr. Akin Fagbemi, Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, has called on hospital accountants across the state to enhance their professionalism in performing their duties.
This message was delivered during a recent meeting with heads of accounting departments in health facilities, held in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Health in Ibadan.
Dr. Fagbemi emphasized the importance of showcasing the board’s competent accountants, stating that their performance directly influences the overall effectiveness of the board.
He noted that accountability is crucial for everyone involved, as each member has a reputation to uphold.
Fagbemi encouraged the accountants to collaborate closely with both the board and the heads of hospitals, highlighting that such efforts would lead to increased satisfaction not only for the governor but also for the citizens of Oyo State.
The Permanent Secretary of the board, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem, expressed her delight at meeting the accountants for the first time and praised those managing multiple facilities.
She urged them to identify and address any loopholes to boost government revenue effectively.
