As we celebrate the world Peace Day, the importance of fostering peace has never been more critical. Rotary International, with its deep-rooted commitment to promoting peace and conflict resolution, continues to play a pivotal role in building bridges of understanding and harmony across communities.

Under the visionary leadership of our District Governor, Rtn Kayode Olowolagba, the theme for this Rotary year revolves around strengthening peace initiatives that resonate with our core values of service above self. The District Governor envisions a year where Rotary clubs actively engage in projects and events that not only address the immediate challenges of conflict but also lay the foundation for long-term peace and stability.

In alignment with this vision, I am committed to collaborating closely with Rotary clubs across the district to carry out meaningful projects that foster peace. This collaboration will involve organizing peace forums, community dialogue sessions, and conflict resolution workshops.

These initiatives will provide Rotarians and community members with the tools and knowledge needed to address conflicts proactively and peacefully.

Moreover, our district will focus on partnering with local and international organizations that share our peace-building goals. By leveraging these partnerships, we can amplify our impact and reach more communities that are in dire need of peace and stability.

As the Pioneer Peace Chair for Rotary District 9126, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. I urge all Rotarians to join hands in this noble cause, as together, we can create a world where peace is not just a distant dream but a living reality. Let us commit to making the 2024/2025 Rotary year one of significant strides toward lasting peace.
