Int’l Peace Day: Amofin Beulah Adeoye Describes Gov. Makinde As Peace Ambassador
The Beulah Adeoye Foundation, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, has described Governor Makinde as peace ambassador and promoter of peaceful coexistence as the International Day of Peace on Thursday held at the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
While giving his speech, the legal luminary, Amofin Adeoye urged religious and political leaders to emulate Governor Makinde as peace advocate and embrace the virtues of peace in dealing young and old.
“As leaders, we have the responsibility of setting unequivocal examples of supporting justice, fairness, harmony, equity, and tolerance. These virtues must be reflected in our policies, teachings, and what we choose to identify with,” he said.
“The Rule of Law Enforcement Authority Bill signed into law by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, comes at the right time as it will promote orderliness and peace, which are the bedrock of any safe society,” he added.
“We should not forget the importance of the Oyo State Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OYMASED) and the lifelong impacts it will bring to our peaceful coexistence and development as a state. The Governor has been at the forefront of promoting religious tolerance and peaceful living. This is a virtue we must embrace and live by, especially on the occasion of this year’s Peace Day celebration,” he concluded.
