Oyo Housing Corporation Chairman, Hon. Ademola Omotoso, Leads Team to Inspect Estates in Saki and Oje Owode
In a significant step towards fulfilling the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde for balanced infrastructural development across all zones of Oyo State, the Oyo State Housing Corporation, led by its Chairman, Hon. Ademola Omotoso and the board embarked on a comprehensive inspection tour of its estates located in Saki and Oje Owode, both in the Oke Ogun region of the state.
The visit, which took place over the weekend, is part of the corporation’s broader strategy to accelerate the development of estates across various zones in the state, ensuring that housing development reaches every corner of Oyo State, as envisioned by Governor Makinde. The Oyo State Housing Corporation has been at the forefront of driving urban development and providing affordable housing solutions for residents, aligning with the government’s agenda to spread infrastructural growth beyond the capital city of Ibadan.
During the inspection, Hon. Omotoso and his team assessed the current state of the estates, identifying key areas where improvements and developments are necessary. He noted that the corporation is committed to revitalizing the estates to meet modern housing standards while also ensuring they serve as affordable options for residents in the region. He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far but emphasized the need for more work to be done in upgrading facilities and enhancing the overall living conditions within the estates.
“We are here to ensure that the estates in Saki and Oje Owode are not left behind in the state’s housing development plan. As His Excellency, Governor Makinde, has always emphasized, development must spread across all zones, and we at the Oyo State Housing Corporation are working to make that a reality. These estates have tremendous potential, and we are dedicated to making them models of what affordable housing should look like in this region,” Hon. Omotoso said during the tour.
The Chairman also highlighted that the corporation’s efforts are in line with the state government’s agenda to stimulate economic growth in Oke Ogun and other regions by developing residential estates that can accommodate the growing population and foster new business opportunities.
Accompanying Hon. Omotoso were board members and senior officials of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, who also met with local residents and stakeholders to discuss their concerns and suggestions for improving the estates.
The inspection tour reflects the Oyo State Government’s commitment to extending the benefits of development to all parts of the state, with a special focus on ensuring that rural and semi-urban areas like Saki and Oje Owode experience the same level of growth as other parts of the state.
As the Oyo State Housing Corporation continues its work, residents in Oke Ogun can look forward to more developments aimed at improving their standard of living and creating sustainable housing solutions for the future.
