    Oyo Hospitals Management Board Collaborates With Lead City

    The Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board under the chairmanship of Dr Akin Fagbemi has collaborated with the management of Lead City University Ibadan on advancement of 8 already admitted Nutrition and Dietetic officers from various health facilities in the state in their capacity building and training.

    In his opening remark,the chairman of OYSHMB,Dr Akin Fagbemi appreciated the Lead City University for the support rendered to the board while conducting Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) test for applicants into various cadre within the Hospitals’ Management Board due to some vacancies left behind by those either retired or travelled abroad to seek for greener pasture.

    Dr Fagbemi said the board is trying to build the Nutrition and Dietetic units within the state health facilities to meet up with the global standard because the area of Nutrition and Dietetic is coming to the forefront in the world and it is important the board prepared itself for the challenges ahead.

    The Vice Chancellor of the Lead City University Ibadan, Professor Kabiru Adeyemi said the institution is willing to partners with the OYSHMB on the advancement of the Nutrition and Dietetic officers who are already been admitted for Post Graduate in the institution.

    He therefore advised the board to write a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to the management of the institution for necessary actions to be ratified by the council of the institution.

    The Director of Medical Services,Dr Femi Adesanya during his vote of thanks appreciated the management of Lead City University for always lending support to the OYSHMB anytime there is need and therefore charged the newly admitted Nutrition and Dietetic officers to be of good conduct and represent the board very well in the institution.

    Present at the meeting which was held at the office of the Vice Chancellor Lead City University is the chairman of OYSHMB,Dr Akin Fagbemi,the Director of Medical Services Dr Femi Adesanya and the head of Nutrition and Dietetic dept in the board Mrs Adetutu Akerele while on the side of the Lead City University is the Vice Chancellor of the institution,Professor Kabiru A Adeyemo,the Registrar Dr. Mrs Oyebola Ayeni and the HOD of the Nutrition and Dietetic department Dr. Mrs Nike Balogun.
