A significant milestone was achieved in the quarry and earthmoving industry as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed under the leadership of Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa, Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System.

This agreement aims to resolve ongoing disputes among quarry and tipper owners, fostering unity and collaboration within the sector.

The MOU was established between the Oluaye Group, also known as the Unified Team of Quarry and Earth Moving Nigeria (UTQEN), and all Tipper and Quarry Truck owners operating under the Park Management System in Oyo State.

The primary objective of this MOU is to eliminate misunderstandings and disputes that have historically hindered progress within the industry.

Key achievements of this agreement include the successful resolution of long-standing disputes among quarry and tipper owners, which is expected to facilitate smoother operations.

The parties have agreed to work collaboratively, presenting a united front to tackle industry challenges effectively.

Additionally, Alh Kazeem Akintola has been appointed as the State Chairman, reinforcing effective leadership within the sector.

Stakeholders have also committed to cooperating on all operational matters, which will enhance efficiency and productivity across the industry.

Alhaji Tomiwa Omolewa has been recognised for his instrumental role in facilitating this agreement, which is anticipated to bring about significant progress and unity in the quarry and earthmoving sector.

Meanwhile, the MOU marks a new chapter for the industry in the State, promising a more cohesive operational framework and improved collaboration among stakeholders.
