The JDS Free Medical Outreach, a significant initiative aimed at providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities, will conclude in Ona Ara Local Government Area today, Friday, marking the completion of outreach efforts across all 33 local government areas in the the state.

Spearheaded by renowned philanthropist Jubril Dotun Sanusi, who is also the CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, the outreach programme has been a beacon of hope for many residents, offering free medical consultations, treatments, and essential health services.

The programme has covered ten local governments in the Oke-Ogun region, five in Ogbomoso, four in the Oyo Alaafin area, and eleven local governments in Ibadan, providing critical healthcare access to thousands of individuals.

The initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap in rural areas and ensure that quality medical care is accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial status.

Since its inception, the JDS Free Medical Outreach has successfully reached thousands of individuals, providing services such as general health check-ups, vaccinations, maternal and child health services, and treatment for various ailments.

The programme has not only addressed immediate health concerns but has also focused on raising awareness about preventive care and healthy living practices within the communities.

In Ona Ara Local Government, the final leg of the outreach will feature a robust lineup of medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and volunteers, all dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, as the outreach will cater for a wide range of health issues and provide guidance on maintaining overall well-being.

Meanwhile, ChiefJubril Dotun Sanusi has expressed his commitment to continuing such initiatives, emphasising the importance of community health in fostering a prosperous society.

“Health is a fundamental right, and through this outreach, we aim to ensure that every individual has access to the medical care they deserve.”

“Completing this outreach across all 33 LGAs is a significant milestone, but our work doesn’t end here. We will continue to seek ways to support and uplift our communities,” he assured.

Sanusi, however, urged residents of Ona Ara to come out en masse to take advantage of this opportunity to check their health status, adding, “We encourage everyone to participate in this final outreach. Health is a fundamental right, and it is crucial for every individual to have access to the medical care they deserve.”
