In recognition of his laudable contribution to humanity, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, Arole Omituntun was honoured with an award of Friendly Local Government Chairman of the year by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), South West Zone.
According to the master of the Programme, Mrs Funmilayo Ilesanmi, Hon. Alawode was chosen for the Award in recognition and appreciation of his commitment and dedication to service and various efforts he had undertaken to better the lot of Nigeria masses.
Presenting the award, the Zonal Director for Radio Nigeria, South West Zone, Mr Dominic Mokikan described the award as an attestation to the qualitative leadership and high performance of Hon. Alawode, his unflinching support and genuine commitment to the welfare of the people and for all the measures being put in place by the council boss to secure the lives and properties of the citizenry.
Mr Mokikan maintained that the award was a stepping stone for the council boss to put in his best to humanity.
Receiving the award, Hon. Alawode appreciated the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for given him the opportunity to serve his people at the grassroot.
He disclosed that he has been able to deliver much of his achievements through the grace of God and the support he is enjoying from Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Arole Omituntun also appreciated the cooperation of the Legislative arm and the Management Staff of Ibadan South East Local Government, stressing that their genuine dedication to realizing shared goals and robust support he is enjoying from them are the reasons for his achievements that led to the honour.
He then promised his unwavering commitment to the progress and delevopment of his people, assuring to deliver even more for the people of Ibadan South East Local Government.
The award ceremony had in attendance, the Councillors for various wards in the Local Government areas, Supervisory Councillors, Chief of Staff, Prince Olusegun Oludaye, the Head of Local Government Administration, Dr (Mrs) Agnes Olakunbi Ojo, Director of Administration and General services, Alhaja Tawakalitu Olufunke Adedotun, the Director of Finance, Mr Abidemi Ogunmakinde and many others.
