Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Makinde, over the demise of his brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
Engr. Makinde’s passing was announced in the early hours of Friday, January 24, 2024, following a brief illness.
Hon. Adepoju on Friday described the death of Engr. Sunday as sudden and a sad development that has brought him into a state of complete emotional laceration.
“It is with a heavy heart filled with sorrow and grief that I extend my heartfelt condolences to my leader, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, over the demise of his loving brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.
“I feel deeply touched by the sad news, knowing full well how sad it is to lose one’s loved one.
“Engr. Sunday was highly respected and deeply loved by all who knew him. He was not only a family man but also a figure of inestimable value whose contribution to the success of everyone around him was second to none. His presence and influence in the community will be greatly missed. He was a force to reckon with when it came to protecting his family, friends and acquaintances.
“May the Lord bless you, His Excellency and your family with the strength to sail through this difficult but trying time,” Ibarapakan commiseration text read.
