The Oyo State Water Corporation is ramping up its efforts to ensure residents of Ibadan have access to clean drinking water by embarking on the installation of new water pipelines in the Molete, St. Anne’s, and Challenge neighborhoods.
The Executive Chairman of the Water Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, in a statement, emphasized that the pipeline installation will enhance water service delivery for residents in Molete, Challenge, Felele, and Ring-Road.
According to him, Governor Seyi Makinde has allocated substantial funding for the laying of water pipelines across all geopolitical zones in the state, which will be executed in phases.
Hon. Adeojo reassured the community that the Corporation is dedicated to realising the state government’s goal of providing accessible potable water to all citizens.
He praised the governor’s efforts in revitalising water supply to the Oke-Itunu Sango area.
Adeojo mentioned that the recent repairs to the primary pipeline serving the area, along with the successful test run of the project, reflected the governor’s commitment to the welfare of the populace.
He, however, assured Oke-Itunu residents that they will receive adequate potable water once the project is fully completed.
