The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended heartfelt congratulations to four illustrious sons of the local government who were recently appointed into strategic positions by the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

The newly appointed officials include Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka Kazim Bibire, who was named the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor following the resignation of Hon. Fola Oyekunle, now the PDP candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election; Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, who emerged as the new Chairman of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) following the board’s dissolution; Hon. Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer appointed as Executive Assistant on Security Coordination; and Hon. Waheed Adeniyi, who was named Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority.

In a statement released through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu on Monday, Hon. Olufade praised Governor Makinde for what he described as a “monumental show of love and confidence” towards the people of Ibadan North.

“This is a moment of collective pride for us in Ibadan North.

The appointments are not just personal milestones for these competent individuals, but also a reflection of the governor’s strategic and inclusive governance,” Olufade said.

He commended Governor Makinde’s leadership style, describing him as a visionary and a role model who consistently empowers grassroots leaders and believes in giving capable hands the opportunity to serve.

“His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has continued to demonstrate an unmatched commitment to excellence, fairness, and development.

His leadership continues to inspire and uplift communities across the state, particularly Ibadan North,” he added.

Hon. Olufade urged the new appointees to view their appointments as calls to higher service and to justify the confidence reposed in them through loyalty, integrity, and performance.

The appointments, according to a release signed by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, and made public by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, take immediate effect.
