In recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to society, Alhaji Ambassador Abdul-Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa ‘Tommy’, Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), has been conferred with the prestigious Islamic title of “BASHORUN AGBESINGA ADINNI OF OYO STATE” by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakr Agbotomokekere.

This honor was bestowed upon Amb. Tommy following a courtesy visit to his Mosfala residence in Ibadan, where the Chief Imam prayed for the PMS chairman, executives, and members, commending them for the peaceful atmosphere in Oyo State and congratulating the newly returned Hajj pilgrims.


The title of “BASHORUN AGBESINGA ADINNI OF OYO STATE“ signifies a deep respect and appreciation for Amb. Tommy’s commitment to promoting peace, unity, and cooperation within his community, particularly in maintaining peace in the transport system in Oyo State. As the holder of this esteemed title, Amb. Tommy is expected to continue his efforts in fostering a sense of togetherness and social cohesion among the people of Oyo State.




Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakr Agbotomokekere, a revered Islamic cleric and scholar, praised Amb. Tommy’s leadership, stating that Oyo State has not had a chairman like him before. He prayed for Amb. Tommy, his executives, and members, commending them for promoting Islam by sending a significant number of PMS executives and members to Hajj, a feat that has never been achieved before in the history of PMS in Oyo State.

Sheikh Hashim Atere, JP, Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), also known as Sheikh Wahab Atere Hashim Olamide, lauded the PMS executives and members for their delightful, cooperative, and good behavior during their Hajj pilgrimage. He also presented a title certificate to Amb. Tommy.
Furthermore, he expressed his wish and prayer for more executives and members to perform the upcoming Hajj than those who had just returned.
