In a significant step towards the realization of the much-anticipated Twins Radio Project, the management and technical team of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) visited Ibarapa Central Local Government for an extensive site inspection and preliminary technical assessment today.

The BCOS delegation led by Architect Adeola Agoro, Engineer Tajudeen and Mr. Eniola Afolabi was warmly received by the Chief of Staff, Hon Yemi Atilola who stood in on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola.

This visit follows an earlier engagement held on 13th May 2025, when the BCOS management first met with the local government leadership to identify and secure a suitable site for the new community radio station. The technical team returned today to conduct an on-site verification, using their specialized equipment to certify the location’s suitability for the project’s take-off.

In his message made available by his personal assistant Azeez Sodiq during the visitation Hon. Yemi Atilola, the Chief of Staff expressed deep appreciation for the BCOS team’s dedication and commended them for their professionalism and commitment to the development of grassroots media. He equally thanked them for aligning with the vision of the Executive Chairman to bring more impactful projects to Ibarapa Central.

In a separate goodwill address, High Chief Hon. Jamiu Oladapo (Odofin of Igboora Land) speaking on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye (Olu of Igboora land), lauded the initiative and extended gratitude to Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde for continuously driving people-oriented projects that touch communities directly.

Also present to warmly receive the BCOS technical team were Hon. Olukunle, the Supervisory Councillor for Education; Mr. Goke Babarinde, the Local Government Deputy Director on Education and Mr. Tayo, the Local Government Information Officer. Their presence demonstrated the unified commitment of the Ibarapa Central leadership to ensuring the Twins Radio project takes off smoothly and serves the people effectively.
