The Olubadan-in-Council will commence deliberations on the appointment of Oba Rasidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Monday. Nigerian Tribune reports.
The meeting is scheduled to hold at the new Olubadan palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan North Local Government Area, at 11:00 a.m.
This was contained in a notice of meeting issued by the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Thursday.
The meeting comes after the expiration of the 21-day mourning period for the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
All High Chiefs of Ibadanland are expected to attend the meeting.
The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, who has been away since the demise of the late Kabiyesi, is expected to be in attendance.
The Nigerian Tribune gathered that Oba Ladoja will return to Ibadan this weekend. Since the death of Oba Olakulehin, he has been receiving visitors at his Lagos residence.
In another development, the final burial ceremony of Oba Olakulehin will take place on Friday, 8 August 2025, at Saint Peter’s Cathedral, Aremo, Ibadan.
