In a bold show of support for the campaign of Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has presented a campaign bus along with a substantial supply of campaign materials to strengthen his bid in the forthcoming House of Representatives bye-election.
Hon. Sikiru Oyedele described the gesture as a personal commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and to the emergence of a candidate who embodies grassroots connection, youth engagement, and legislative capacity.
“This is not just a gesture of support; it is an investment in credible, grassroots-focused leadership. Hon. DoN represents the kind of inclusive, accessible, and effective representation our people deserve. I am confident that Ibadan North will speak loudly in his favour at the polls,” he stated.
The campaign bus, adorned in party colours, is expected to enhance community outreach and visibility for the campaign across all wards in Ibadan North Federal Constituency. The support package also includes campaign materials such as caps, posters, flyers, banners, and other promotional items.
Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle expressed deep appreciation for the chairman’s show of solidarity and unwavering support.
“I am humbled by this generous act from a true party man and progressive leader, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele. This kind of support not only energizes our campaign but also sends a strong message that the PDP in Oyo State is united and ready to deliver effective representation to the people,” DoN said.
As the August 16 bye-election approaches, the momentum behind Hon. Oyekunle’s campaign continues to grow, with increased grassroots mobilization and backing from key stakeholders within and beyond the PDP.
