Obasanjo Commissions Ibadan Central Bus Terminals, Hails Makinde
Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has officially commissioned the newly built Ibadan Central Bus Terminals 1 and 2 at Iwo Road, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Chief Obasanjo, described Ibadan as the capital of Yorubaland and lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership and commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of the state.
He urged stakeholders and the public to make responsible and judicious use of the new facilities, noting that the project would go a long way in easing traffic congestion within Ibadan and across the South-West region.
Earlier in his address, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, explained that the establishment of the terminals was aimed at enhancing transportation efficiency, convenience, and mobility for residents.
The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Architect Abdulmojeed Mogbojubola, in his remarks, highlighted that the new terminals would significantly reduce traffic congestion, promote environmental sustainability, enhance safety, stimulate economic growth, and improve the overall aesthetics of the Ibadan metropolis.
In their goodwill messages, Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, commended Governor Makinde for his numerous developmental achievements and pledged that the legislative arm would continue to support present administration.

The attendees later moved to the University of Ibadan Junction, where Junction Improvement Project was also officially commissioned, by the deputy governor Barrister Bayo Lawal on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde.
