ODF Appoints Seasoned Journalist, Rahmon Alawode as Public Relations Officer

….Names Him Member of Ona Ara House Building Committee

The Ona Ara Development Forum (ODF) has announced the appointment of a seasoned journalist and indigenous youth leader, Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, as its Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Aare Alawode, who is currently the President of the Yoruba Youth Council and Mogaji-Elect of the Ifatayo-Alawode Descendants of Ibadanland, brings a blend of media professionalism, youth advocacy, and grassroots leadership to the Forum.

The appointment takes immediate effect, following a collective decision of the Forum’s leadership, and was formally announced during a special Ramadan courtesy visit hosted by the Forum’s President, Alhaji Kola Bolomope, in honour of the Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS.

At the event, Aare Alawode was also presented with a letter of appointment as a member of the Ona Ara House Building Committee, duly signed by the President, Alhaji Kola Bolomope, and the General Secretary, Pa. Odeyale P.O.. The committee is chaired by a former Local Government Chairman and serving full-time Commissioner with the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Taiwo Akeem Oke.

The proposed Ona Ara House, designed to serve as a central hub for coordination and development activities of the Forum, will be situated at Olorunda Junction.

Responding to the appointments, Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the Forum for the confidence reposed in him. He described the appointments as “a call to service,” reaffirming his passion for community development, youth engagement, and strategic communication.

He pledged to deploy his extensive media experience and grassroots engagement skills to effectively project the activities, vision, and values of the Ona Ara Development Forum, while also contributing meaningfully to the successful execution of the Ona Ara House project.

The Ona Ara Development Forum reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development, transparency, and community-driven initiatives, expressing optimism that the new appointments will further strengthen its institutional capacity and public engagement.
