A woman who was recently abducted at Alawusan Village along the Oyo–Iwo Road has regained her freedom, bringing relief to residents of the area.

The Executive Chairman of Òyó East Local Government, Oluokun Peter Olusola, through his Media Aide Adeleke Afees Adeniran, confirmed the development and attributed the successful and outcome to Makinde’s Concerted Security Efforts.


Speaking on the incident, the chairman expressed deep appreciation for the sustained efforts of security agencies, whose coordinated operations led to the victim’s safe release.

He emphasized that the achievement reflects the effectiveness of the state government’s proactive approach to tackling insecurity.

Oluokun also expressed his delight at the restoration of safety, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property across Òyó East Local Government.
He noted that ensuring the well-being of residents remains a top priority under his leadership.
The chairman had earlier commended all security operatives for their relentless efforts following the report of the abduction.
He further reiterated his resolve to continue aligning with the security policies and strategies of Governor Makinde to maintain peace and stability in the area.
