Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency have firmly endorsed Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji as the party’s House of Representatives flag bearer, declaring that his emergence followed a transparent and democratic process.

The leaders stated that Adedeji secured an overwhelming victory, defeating the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, by 17 votes to 2 in an election they described as credible and widely accepted by stakeholders across the constituency.

Rising in strong defence of the outcome, the party leaders rejected calls from some quarters seeking Adedeji’s disqualification, insisting that such demands are baseless and capable of destabilizing the party.

According to them, Adedeji’s emergence represents a new dawn for the PDP in the constituency, citing his reputation as an Omoluabi, a man of integrity and his consistent contributions to party growth and grassroots development.

They highlighted his record of empowerment programmes targeting youths, artisans, widows, and small and medium-scale business owners, noting that his efforts have strengthened the party’s base and restored confidence among supporters.

“Kolawole Sheu Adedeji has never been associated with violence or thuggery. His campaign and political engagements have remained peaceful and people-oriented,” the leaders affirmed, dismissing insinuations to the contrary.

Ibarapa East/Ido leaders maintained that the will of the people has been clearly expressed and should be respected, urging party members to rally behind Adedeji to ensure victory in the 2027 general elections.
